New York City Fireworks - July 4, 2011

We drove to Jersey City with several friends from our ward and parked at an LDS church we had keys to. We then walked down to the Hudson river where we had the perfect view of fireworks and the New York skyline.
There were about 7 barges all up and down the river from where the fireworks launched. All the barges were in sync and the show was fabulous!

NJ Botanical Gardens - July 2, 2011

I guess New Jersey really is the Garden State. This place was beautiful. It used to be a large estate with an amazing mansion, carriage house, and other neat quarters.

Back for a week, June 2011

The week after we moved to NJ, we came back to MD for a week. Matt had to train his replacement at BD, and I hung out with Will, Noah, and Charlie.
We finally made it to Fort McHenry in Baltimore. The birth-place of our National Anthem.

Party at the Rueckerts' - May 29, 2011

Dave through a party for all the guys who played church ball. It was on Matt's birthday, so they also made a basketball piƱata.

They were actually really good.

Capitol Tour - May 20, 2011

We finally did a Capitol tour--something Matt has wanted to do ever since he read The Lost Symbol.

Photo Shoot

I'm currently working on a biblical painting of the Widow's Mite. I got a friend of mine to pose for me. These were just practice shots.
I love him.

Gettysburg, PA - May 19, 2011

Matt took an entire week off of work because he realized he had vacation days he had to use before our move. Unfortunately it rained almost everyday that week. It cleared up, however, enough for us to visit Gettysburg. We did an audio tour in our car and had a great time.
